Water Quality Testing

OccuQuest provides environmental testing services essential for regulatory compliance and public health safety. Our water quality testing is thorough, assessing both biological contaminants (e.g., bacteria, coliforms) and chemical composition (e.g., heavy metals, pH balance). We work with industrial facilities, commercial properties, and private clients to ensure water systems meet federal, state, and industrial safety standards.

Our process includes collecting, analyzing, and reporting data with precision, identifying potential risks, and providing actionable insights. By verifying the integrity of water systems, we help organizations mitigate health hazards and successfully navigate complex environmental regulations.

DNA Testing and Forensic Analysis

We specialize in providing secure and confidential DNA services backed by certified laboratory expertise. Our offering extends far beyond standard testing; we are specialists in highly sensitive and regulated areas, including AABB Immigration Testing which adheres to the strict standards required by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Furthermore, we conduct comprehensive Family Relationship Analysis, paternity testing, and sibling/kinship analysis, delivering court-admissible results with irrefutable accuracy. By prioritizing security, confidentiality, and technical excellence, we provide clients—whether private individuals or legal entities—with the definitive answers and documentation they need.

Biological Testing

We offer advanced biological testing and environmental monitoring services vital for maintaining infection control and health standards in sensitive settings. Our laboratory provides specialized analysis for microbial samples, environmental swabs, and forensic materials. This service is crucial for organizations requiring infection control verification, helping them assess potential biohazards in their facilities.

We support compliance efforts by delivering accurate diagnostics and reliable data on bio-load, ensuring that your environment is not only safe but also fully compliant with sanitation and health agency guidelines. Our insights strengthen facility management and risk assessment protocols.

Cleaning Verification Testing

Cleaning Verification Testing is a specialized service designed to rigorously validate the efficacy of surface cleaning and sterilization protocols in commercial and industrial environments. We address the critical need for assurance beyond visual inspection by employing scientific methodologies to assess cleanliness.

This service involves systematic testing and analysis to verify that cleaning standards meet established health and safety benchmarks. By delivering quantifiable, objective data on surface cleanliness, we enable facilities to maintain compliance, mitigate the risk of contamination, and prove adherence to internal protocols and regulatory standards, fostering a true culture of accountability and safety.

DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Services (2026 Compliance Guide)

Occuquest provides comprehensive, DOT-compliant drug and alcohol testing for employers regulated by the Department of Transportation. Our services ensure your fleet remains safe, compliant, and ready for the road.

What is a DOT Drug Test?

A DOT drug test is a mandatory 5-panel screen for employees in safety-sensitive positions. These tests are strictly regulated to protect public safety and minimize workplace accidents. As of 2026, the DOT permits both urine and oral fluid (saliva) testing methods.

Substances Screened

Every DOT-mandated test screens for the following five categories:

Marijuana (THC) (Note: CBD use is not a valid medical excuse for a positive THC result), Cocaine, Amphetamines (including Methamphetamine, MDMA, and MDA), Opioids (Heroin, Codeine, Morphine, Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, Hydrocodone, and Hydromorphone), Phencyclidine (PCP)

When is Testing Required?

We coordinate testing for all six DOT-mandated scenarios:

Follow-Up: A series of at least six unannounced tests over 12 months following an RTD.

Pre-Employment: Must be cleared before any safety-sensitive functions begin.

Random: Unannounced testing based on agency-specific annual rates.

Post-Accident: Required following fatalities, or injuries/damage where the driver is cited.

Reasonable Suspicion: Conducted when trained supervisors observe signs of impairment.

Return-to-Duty (RTD): Required after a violation; must be overseen by a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).

Critical 2026 Regulatory Updates

Stay ahead of the latest federal requirements to avoid costly penalties and operational downtime:

Oral Fluid Testing: Employers now have the flexibility to choose between urine or saliva specimens, offering a non-invasive alternative for collections.

Automatic CDL Downgrades: As of late 2024, the FMCSA now mandates that any driver in a “Prohibited” status in the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse will automatically lose their state-issued commercial driving privileges. Licensing agencies will now suspend or revoke CDLs until the Return-to-Duty process is fully completed.

Annual MIS Reporting: All DOT-regulated employers must now submit their annual drug and alcohol testing data via Login.gov.

2026 Random Drug Testing Rates

DOT Agency Drugs Alcohol
FMCSA (Motor Carrier) 50% 10%
FAA (Aviation) 25% 10%
FRA (Railroad) 50% (Mechanical) 25% (Mechanical)
FTA (Transit) 50% 10%
PHMSA (Pipeline) 25% N/A

Ensure your fleet remains compliant with current DOT standards.

Technical Cut-off Levels (49 CFR Part 40)

Our lab partners adhere to the most recent confirmatory cut-off levels to ensure accuracy:

Opioids: Various (e.g., 2000 ng/mL for Codeine/Morphine; 100 ng/mL for Oxycodone)

Marijuana (THCA): 15 ng/mL

Cocaine: 100 ng/mL

Amphetamines: 250 ng/mL
